Now, that's a private thing. <.< But hell, I'm not giving Activision my money if I can avoid it. I'll get a gift or something.

Fair warning The Paper Boy site has changed hands and can no longer be trusted. I suspect there will be heavy tracking of torrents from there henceforth.

I like how discrete you're trying to be Jer. thanks Wink

I'll put it out there. What he means by THE PAPER BOY is, The Pirate Bay. It is no longer in control by the original owners, as they are in prison. Site could be in government hands. Be AWARE!

You can not post LINKS about illegal downloads or "torrents" "warrez", but you can talk about the "BUSINESS" itself.

WARNING: DO NOT USE PIRATE BAY, IT IS NOT SAFE..... OH, AND ITS ILLEGAL. BUT, ITS LIKELY TO BE MONITORED!

They didn't go "legit". They got taken over. Finally. Poor guys. There's going to be a reckoning eventually, just not yet, it seems. At any rate, after Activision still refusing to support Prototype on the PC, I've decided I'm not buying another one of their games until they do. I'll find another way to play MW2.

lol

lol

and even more lol

1) "the paper boy" is fighting an appeal to a case that was heavily biased against them. Lets face it, the verdict was written in stone before the trial began. They are not in prison, you have been reading too much MAFIAA propaganda.

2) "the paper boy" sale never went through. A lot of sketchy things went down the minute the announcement was made.

3) Unless your using a private bit torrent tracker why even bother with BT. I used to block over 100 ip's of anti-p2p companies daily just from random TV/software torrents. Your downloads through public trackers are being noted and categorically surveyed. The real releases from the original release groups themselves are very easy to find and download on another network I wont mention because of rules 1 + 2.

4) Dont support any corporation who lobbied for the same laws your worried about breaking. The members of MPAA, RIAA, ESA, BSA wouldn't be able to afford their greasy backroom-deal lobbyists if you stopped buying their DRM crap!

5) support open source at every opportunity. Donate to artists who give their works away for free. I know I do.

Well, to be fair, I don't care about some companies. Like, I always buy Massive Entertainment's stuff and I used to buy Sierra's until they went under. There are some companies I'll always support. It's the assholes who think they have a God-given right to your money I hate. <.<

I avoid torrents at all costs. I "acquire" my "trial" warez off of a website.

The problem with running a cracked version, like Thomson istalking about, is that you can usually only play on cracked servers. Because of this, your choices can be somewhat limited. That's the whole reason I actually bought Modern Warfare 1.
